Egg hatching is linked to walking distance, the same as in video games. Each egg is labeled with the distance it must walk to hatch: 2 kilometers, 5 kilometers, etc. To hatch an egg, you need to find or buy an incubator and place the egg in it, and then run the application while walking. Players can also walk to special places in the game called “PokeStops” or “Gyms”. In PokeStops, players can find PokeBalls and extra candy to feed their Pokémon.
But the popularity of the game means that they certainly won’t stop trying. In it, players traverse a mythical land, trying to catch “pocket monsters” with varied looks and skill, and then “training” them to defeat other monsters in battle. Since then, it has spawned a legion of video games, animated TV series, collectible cards and other media and has become the second most successful video game-based franchise in the world.
