5 Facts Parents Should Know About Pokemon Go

Egg hatching is linked to walking distance, the same as in video games. Each egg is labeled with the distance it must walk to hatch: 2 kilometers, 5 kilometers, etc. To hatch an egg, you need to find or buy an incubator and place the egg in it, and then run the application while walking. The development team is still working on the different types of incubators, as well as the number of eggs you can hatch at once: in our demonstration, we had two incubators running at once.

For example, if a Pokémon appears on the game card four blocks away, the player must walk four blocks in “real life” to reach him. Along with the server issues, Pokémon Go suffered several crashes. One of the most prominent bugs appeared in mid-July 2016 and rendered the game’s tracking feature useless. On August 1, players reported a new error that swaps their captured Pokémon with another random creature. Another bug, confirmed by Niantic in August, unintentionally made catching Pokémon more difficult.

During the first weekend of the game’s launch, social media was flooded with users complaining about their sore legs and proclaiming the aging of their gym memberships.

Certain Pokémon have different distances that must be walked to receive candy. During the same update, Niantic made it impossible for players with rooted or jailbroken devices to log into the game in an effort to reduce and prevent cheating. The Pokémon battles in Pokémon Go are similar to the Game Boy game that people play, where the Pokémon have to be faced one-on-one. Pokémon can be cured or restored using potions and revivals that any Pokemon Go player can purchase after visiting pokéstops. Two types of attacks are used, one is continuous tapping that causes minor damage to the opponent and the other attack is unleashed by touch and hold that a special attack can release. Of all the pokémon games, this one was highly praised, but at the same time criticized for various technical issues that Android and IOS users faced after the release of the game.

Pokemon Go settled in that first week on more than twice as many Android phones, more than 5 percent, than the wildly popular dating app Tinder, at just over 2 percent. Also in the first week, the game was put at a screaming distance from the social giant Twitter in terms of daily users. As it continues to roll out new features, its popularity is likely to continue to explode for some time to come.

“Pokévision,” released on July 22, 2016, allowed players to find exactly where Pokémon were generated and how much time was left until they disappeared; the site used hacked data directly from the game. In the five days following the launch of the website, 27 million unique visitors used the site. On July 31, multiple apps and search sites, including Pokévision, Pokemon GO kopen were disabled for violating Niantic’s terms of service. During the constitutional referendum in Thailand in 2016, Pokémon Go players were told not to enter polling stations. Cambodia has banned gambling at a former genocide site after Pokémon players appeared on the site. Vietnam has banned players from entering government and defense offices.

Players can find Pokémon using the game’s map to walk to places where grass moves. They can then throw a Pokeball at the Pokémon to see if they can catch it. Players can also walk to special places in the game called “PokeStops” or “Gyms”. In PokeStops, players can find PokeBalls and extra candy to feed their Pokémon.

But the popularity of the game means that they certainly won’t stop trying. In it, players traverse a mythical land, trying to catch “pocket monsters” with varied looks and skill, and then “training” them to defeat other monsters in battle. Since then, it has spawned a legion of video games, animated TV series, collectible cards and other media and has become the second most successful video game-based franchise in the world.
