Families with young children can enjoy short hikes while older kids and adults can take on more challenging hikes. No matter what your hiking ability, there is a hike out there just for you!

For a beginner’s hike, try the Benton MacKaye Trail which winds its way through the Appalachian Mountains. This 2.5-mile trail is perfect for families with small children and is wheelchair accessible. For an intermediate hike, try the Mt Mitchell Trail which spans 10 miles and climbs to 6,643 feet. This challenging hike offers beautiful scenery and may be too difficult for young children or beginners. For an advanced hike, try the Mountaineer’s Route on the Appalachian Trail which covers more than 20 miles and climbs to over 6,200 feet. This demanding hike is not recommended for beginners but can be attempted by experienced hikers. 

Whatever your hiking ability, there is sure to be a trail out there that is perfect for you and your family!

Camping

As the weather starts to cool down and the leaves change colors, families all over are looking for things to do. One of the best things to do is go camping! There are many different types of camping that can be enjoyed by all kinds of families. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful getaway or an adventure, there’s a campground for you. Here are four family-friendly campsites perfect for all ages.

1) Hemlock Lake State Park in Durand, MI is great for those looking for a little more excitement. The park has nine miles of hiking trails, three swimming beaches, and multiple playgrounds to keep the kids entertained. It’s also pet-friendly so you can bring your furry friend along!

2) Hampshire Hills State Park in East Hampton, NY is perfect for those who want to enjoy nature but don’t want too much hassle. The park has a variety of activities such as fishing, kayaking, biking, and picnicking. There’s also a playground and a campground with plenty of space for tents and RVs.

Swimming

If you’re looking for a fun day out that can be enjoyed by the whole family, look no further than swimming! There are plenty of activities available for all different age groups and families, so whatever your interests or needs, there’s sure to be something on offer. Here are four great swimming options for families:

Not only do you get to swim with these friendly animals, but you’ll also learn about their conservation work and help fund projects through tipping fees. Children aged 5-12 years old are especially captivated by dolphin swimming and will love it.

-Water aerobics: If you’re looking for a more strenuous exercise session, try water aerobics. 

Playing Golf

There’s something for everyone when it comes to golf. No matter your age, gender, or skill level, there’s a golf course out there that will fit your needs. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro-golfing can be a family fun activity that everyone can enjoy. Here are five golf activities perfect for all ages:
